Michael Gummery

Michael is an experienced Partner with a strong technical accounting background. He is a registered company auditor with a sound knowledge and understanding of the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, with the ability to advise on a wide range of issues. Michael’s career began with Ernst & Young in the UK where he was responsible for managing audit and assurance engagements for some of the UK’s largest listed companies. 

On moving to Melbourne in 2012, Michael joined the audit team at HLB Mann Judd where he specialises in audits and the provision of technical accounting advice. Michael’s experience, spanning over 15 years, has been gained with clients ranging from small owner managed businesses and start-ups to listed multinational corporations. Michael is experienced in working on cross border assignments, interacting regularly with overseas clients and teams. With a genuine interest in business, Michael’s key strength is his ability to gain an understanding of the key issues facing his clients and to tailor solutions accordingly. 

As an organised and professional Partner, he is known by his clients for always providing the highest levels of service. He has developed a reputation for delivering practical and tailored results within strict time frames. As the Technical Partner at HLB Mann Judd, Michael regularly assists clients with technical accounting and financial reporting queries.
