What are the opportunities for artists and creatives to use the broadband technologies to unlock innovation and creative ideas?
This session hosted by Jennifer Ganske, (education, tourism and the arts at NBN Australia) and will be a discussion with key arts practitioners around best practice and opportunities for the arts and cultural sector to engage and use the National Broadband Network in their practice.
Jennifer will explore the Melbourne Digital Concert Hall as a case study for digital innovation during the Covid-19 pandemic. The session will include technical expertise to unpack how leading organisations and artists have taken advantage of emerging technologies and developed innovative approached to creating, distributing and presenting work.
About The Series
Creative Connections is an online webinar series for the cultural and arts sectors and will offer practical, accessible and useful content delivered by industry experts on key topics and emerging themes.
The series is focused around the theme of adaptation, and sessions will explore digital adaptation, leadership adaptation and arts practice adaptation. Sessions will be facilitated by experts in specific topic areas, with over thirty sessions available.

Jennifer Ganske
Jennifer is the National Segment Head of Arts and Tourism for the NBN, the current Chair of Cultural Attractions of Australia and comes from a strong global background as a producer in the creative industries.
Previous to her work at the nbn Jennifer was the Director of Marketing at Sovereign Hill Museums Association, Creative Director for the Season of the Arts in Ballarat (including delivering the Victorian regional tour of the Archibald Prize and Melbourne Spring Fashion Week’s regional show), and Arts consultant to regional galleries and institutions.
Jennifer started her career as a journalist in London before moving to NYC to work at the Guggenheim, and in television and theatre production. She is a passionate supporter of creative content and is committed to advancing the ability of artist to develop their work in regional, rural and remote Australia.
Adele Schonhardt
Adele Schonhardt is one half of the team behind Melbourne Digital Concert Hall – a start-up founded with Co-Director Chris Howlett to support the music industry through COVID-19 and beyond. In its five opening months, MDCH has generated over $600,000 in artist revenue, engaged 400 musicians and streamed 150 concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Berlin, London and Singapore.
Adele has spent 20 years connecting people through music – a skill honed working in arts marketing and corporate PR in Australia, Germany and the USA. Formerly Media & Public Affairs Manager at Musica Viva, her mission to amplify creative impact through good business practice has taken her from Germany’s largest opera house in Baden-Baden to the League of American Orchestras in New York.
A graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium, she completed an Executive MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) in 2018. In her spare time, she’s Chair of the Board at 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne, where she works proudly with a brilliant team of volunteer broadcasters and staff to share Australian music with a wide community of listeners.
