Penny Smallacombe: Head of Indigenous, Screen Australia

Penny is a Member of the Maramanindji people, from the Northern Territory. She has completed a cadetship with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and has a 6Masters of Arts (Documentary Producing) from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney. At AFTRS, Penny produced two documentaries -Roger andA Change of Heart. A Change of Heartwas nominated for a Dendy Award and played at several International film festivals including IDFA. Penny worked in the Indigenous Programs Unit at the ABC, where she produced and directed for series 6 and 7 of Message Sticksand ABC’s highly successful Yarning Upseries 1 and 2 and was a part of the Screen Australia Indigenous Department’s Producers Initiative in 2011 and before beginning her role at Screen Australia, Penny was working as a Senior Programmer for NITV.

Elaineis an actor, director, producer, singer, songwriter, standup comedian and writer, and a staunch MEAA member who has appeared in multiple plays, TV series and films.Elaine has performed in stage productions across the country and around the world.

Stephanie Parkin: Indigenous Engagement Manager Copyright Agency Limited

Stephanie is from the Quandamooka people of North Stradbroke Island. With a background in IP law, Stephanie is a director of the Indigenous Art Code and currently working part time at the Copyright Agency Limited.
