Louisa Norman: ISPA Australia Fellowship Recipient

Louisa has worked as a theatre producer and programmer for the past 15 years.  Born in London, UK Louisa worked for leading London theatre companies and venues including Headlong Theatre, Clean Break and Soho Theatre.  She has produced theatre in a variety of contexts from women’s prisons and hospitals, to Palestinian refugee camps and London’s West end with a focus on new writing.

From 2007- 12 Louisa ran Stellar Network, connecting professionals in theatre, film and tv industries into cross platform projects.

She studied at University of Wales, University of Montana USA, Trinity College Dublin and recently completed a Masters in Cultural Leadership at NIDA in Sydney.

Since relocating to Australia in 2013 she has worked for Country Arts South Australia producing and programming in a variety of regional communities and art forms including for five 500 seat venues.  She currently sits on panels for the Helpmann Awards and Performing Arts Exchange.  She is passionate about using the arts for social change and empowering regional communities to realise their creative potential.
