Sarah is a practising artist, curator and designer in the vibrant Tasmanian Arts sector.

Being awarded the ‘Abel Tasman Prize’ for Tasmanian Emerging Artists in 2007 enabled Sarah to travel to the Netherlands and further her art appreciation, followed by a bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT in Melbourne.  She returned to her hometown of Hobart to manage Handmark, a leading commercial gallery.  Here she forms an integral part of the Tasmanian arts community discovering, supporting and developing local artists.

Sarah’s people-centred approach and collaborative nature has enable her to facilitate many creative exchanges. A collaboration with Liminal Objects and Aboriginal artist Vicki West resulted in being shortlisted for the international Blueprint Design Award for their ‘muylatina’ coffee table.

As a recently appointed board member of the Glenorchy Art and Sculpture Park (GASP), situated on the Derwent River alongside MONA one of Australia’s premium contemporary art galleries, her interest in public sculpture and site-specific artworks has been cemented.
