The Australia Council mourns the tragic loss of Kirk Robson.
Mr Robson was a talented theatre director, performer, filmmaker and community cultural development worker.
He worked with regional Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities all across Australia on community cultural development, community building and active local reconciliation projects.
Mr Robson had worked with The Torch Project since 2001, and was with the Torch team in the Northern Territory developing a new project as part of the Garma Festival when he died.
Australia Council and ccd friends and colleagues mourn the loss of such a young and vibrant leader, a man who gave so generously of his energy and spirit to friends, co-workers and communities.
