The Australia Council for the Arts today expressed its sadness at the passing of editor and columnist Padraic Pearse McGuinness.
Mr McGuinness edited Quadrant magazine for almost a decade, having worked as an editor and columnist for several Australian newspapers.
Quadrant has been supported by the Australia Council for more than 30 years.
The Australia Council joins with the rest of the literary community in mourning his loss.
