Brisbane artist, Craig Walsh has received the People’s Choice award for his work INCURSION at the nuit blanche festival in Toronto, Canada.
INCURSION, which was commissioned during Craig’s residency at the Australia Council visual arts board Greene Street Studio in New York earlier this year, was part of the festival’s Supernatural City exhibition.
The site-specific installation and projection work created the illusion of a Toronto storefront being flooded with water and live fish while passers-by looked on.
This year’s nuit blanche festival included work from more than 500 local and international artists, across three city zones.
