FUEL4ARTISTS IS READY TO GO

A new website by the Australia Council allows busy visual arts and craft practitioners to spend more time making rather than marketing their work.

fuel4artists (www.fuel4arts.com/artists) is the sister site of the successful fuel4arts.com and is much more than a website. The new site plugs individual artists into free, easy to access arts-specific marketing expertise and practical resources from around the world, to promote their work and build audiences.

Like its sister, fuel4artists gives individual artists free access to an international community of arts professionals and the latest marketing expertise from around the world, including: practical tips to promote work and build audiences, arts marketing case studies, research overviews and articles.

New to the site is the Oracle, a highly responsive email-activated bulletin board, where artists can get quick response answers to their marketing questions from a professional arts marketer.

Joanna Kambourian, a fine artist and fuel4arts member says: ‘The site opens up a whole world of resources, inspiration, information and community that is relevant to me and the arts in Australia. It’s a place to explore- to feel less isolated and to gain a perspective of what is happening in the arts.’

Karilyn Brown, Executive Director of Audience and Market Development said visual arts and craft practitioners are extremely active members of the fuel4arts online community, and this specialised way of streamlining information to meet their needs more effectively in this way is an exciting development.

fuel4artists will expand over the next two years to service additional artforms.

fuel4arts is the leading source of marketing resources for Australian artists, and the largest international online arts community with more than 16,200 members from 130 countries worldwide.
