Regional Arts Australia seeks submissions for Great Australian Stories
The coffee-table style book will include a collection of stories that profile and celebrate the diverse range of artistic activity taking place across regional Australia.
It will build on the success of earlier publications The Great Yarn Event (1998) and Heartwork (2004) providing a permanent reminder of the powerful role of the arts in the heart of regional Australia.
Five thousand copies of the book will be published and distributed nationally to arts and government leaders, libraries, artists, arts workers, and the public.
Great Australian Stories will be launched at the Regional Arts Australia’s conference – Art at the Heart – in October 2008.
To make a contribution to the book, visit www.regionalarts.com.au and follow the links to Great Arts Stories.
Submissions must be received by 5pm, Friday 23 November 2007.
Great Australian Stories has been supported by the Regional Arts Fund, an Australian Government initiative supporting the arts in regional and remote Australia; and the Australia Council for the Arts.
