The dance board recently awarded 19 grants to exciting and diverse projects around Australia. Several of these grants support young people and activity in regional areas.
Supported projects include:
- a workshop residency in Alice Springs by Perth-based Kompany Kido in partnership with Incite Youth Arts
- a presentation of De Quincey Company Limited’s A Dictionary of Atmospheres in the Todd riverbed and
- a program of dance development delivered by NORPA in northern NSW.
International Dance Day on 29 April 2005 heralds the approaching Dance Week 9 – 15 May, an occasion of much dance activity in communities all around Australia. For more information, go to www.ausdance.org.au.
