The Australia Council for the Arts today announced the appointment of Ms Sandra Bender to the new position of Director Market Development.
Sandra has a wealth of experience in national and international audience and market development as the former head of the Canada Council for the Arts (CAA) Market and Audience Development Office and a member of the Canada Council’s senior management team.
Over the past ten years, she has driven many successful audience and market development initiatives and programs, working across all artforms and in partnership with public and private sector organisations.
With her in-depth knowledge of the issues artists, arts organisations and the arts sector face in terms of audience development, Sandra will play a lead role in continuing the Australia Council’s work in this area.
Ms Bender will take up the role in early May, reporting to Executive Director Community Partnerships and Market Development Karilyn Brown.
