SEARCH FOR NEW CEO COMMENCES

The search for a new CEO for the Australia Council for the Arts has commenced.

Ads for the position were placed in the Australian Financial Review and The Weekend Australian on Saturday 2 September with a closing date of 24 September 2006.

The chairman, James Strong AO, and the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts will manage and oversight the recruitment process with the assistance of executive search agency Egon Zehnder International.
