Donna Walker-Kuhne, a world expert on marketing the arts to culturally diverse audiences, will tour Australia in June under the auspice of the Australia Council for the Arts’ Leading Voices program.
New York-based Donna Walker-Kuhne will present her Invitation to the Party: Building Bridges to the Arts, Culture and Community FREE lecture and workshop series in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney from 6 – 21 June.
Acknowledged by the Arts and Business Council of America as the nation’s foremost leader in audience development, Donna Walker-Kuhne has devoted her career to increasing access to the arts.
Her track record speaks for itself; she has generated more than $12 million in income for various organisations and institutions by promoting the arts to culturally diverse audiences.
Donna Walker-Kuhne is currently president of Walker International Communications Group, a marketing and audience development consulting company. Her clients include The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Dance USA, Signature Theatre, Three Mo’ Tenors, The Apollo Theatre, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.
Donna Walker-Kuhne also works with numerous museums, galleries and arts councils throughout the US. She is a professor in arts marketing at Columbia University, Brooklyn College and New York University. She has been nominated for the Ford Foundation’s Leadership for a Changing World Fellowship.
