The Australia Council is very saddened by the tragic death of Australian writer Liam Davison and his wife Frankie. The couple were passengers on MH17. Liam, 56, was an award-winning novelist and a recipient of Australia Council grants, including a four-year Senior Writers’ Fellowship in 1995. Liam will be remembered for his significant contribution to Australian Literary culture. The Australia Council expresses its deepest sympathies to Liam and Frankie’s family and friends.
