On Wednesday 29 May the ninth annual Marketing Summit will commence at Canberra’s Museum of Australian Democracy Old Parliament House.
Each year the Marketing Summit brings together Australia’s arts and cultural marketers for two days of creative exchange and insights on contemporary arts marketing.

Senior Manager of New Media and Analytics, Cirque du Soleil – Resident Shows Division, Andy Levey will discuss Digital strategy at Cirque du Soleil, one of the most recognised companies in live entertainment. With fans coming from all around the world, the most efficient and effective way of developing a relationship with them is through social media. From researching about a Cirque show to tweeting during intermission to posting pictures in front of a big top, discover the secrets behind Cirque du Soleil’s strategy for engaging its fans using the full spectrum of digital media.
Panel discussion: A case study of the recent Western Australian tour of Danielle Micich’s dance work Shiver and a discussion between the panel and audience about the power of community engagement resulting in potent audience development.

With Canberra celebrating its centenary, APACA and the Australian Theatre Forum all happening at the same time as Marketing Summit, it’s guaranteed to be a busy few days.
