The Australia Council is an industry partner in arts-related projects funded by the Australia Research Council (ARC).

Summary

Agile Opera draws on the unique circumstances provided within today’s society that sees audiences as increasingly digitally aware. The project supports the creation of innovative performance, exploring the relationship between live engagement and digital artworks. The collaboration between SIAL Sound Studios and Chamber Made Opera allows for technology to be embraced and drawn on to nurture new ways of thinking and working. Ultimately the aim is to maintain the intimacy of Chamber Opera as a cultural force as we move further into a world characterised by mobile devices, a desire for technology-enabled flexibility and instant access.

We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.

We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations Peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions.

We are privileged to gather on this Country and through this website to share knowledge, culture and art now, and with future generations.

First Nations Peoples should be aware that this website may contain images or names of people who have died.
