Under the Creative Australia Act 2023 and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (‘PGPA Act’) the Board and management of Creative Australia are legally bound to ensure the organisation has appropriate systems and processes in place to strengthen and maintain accountability, transparency, due diligence and sound decision-making.
In discharging these responsibilities, Creative Australia must manage risk appropriately and strive to achieve “value for money” when conducting any procurement activities. In doing so Creative Australia officials follow the Procurement Guidelines when considering the most suitable approach to a particular procurement activity, which includes evaluating all available options and recording and documenting all relevant decisions.

Supporting the development of creative health practice in Australia (RFT 2024-25 06)
We are currently seeking the services of a contractor, or a consortium, to develop arts and health infrastructure in Australia. Note, this project is focused on community artists working in health settings rather than art therapy. Art therapy is a specialised field of therapy that already has established professional standards and a membership body.
