How we assess applications
Creative Australia is the Australian Government’s principal arts investment and advisory body. Our purpose is to champion and support arts and creativity to benefit all Australians.
A guiding principle of Creative Australia is that our decision-making occurs at arm’s length from the arts minister and government of the day. This means that the minister and government cannot tell us which artists or organisations are to receive investment funding from Creative Australia.
All eligible applications to our grants and opportunities are assessed via one of three methods:
- Peer assessment
- Industry advice
- Staff assessment.
