Corporate governance, policies and frameworks

Creative Australia is the Australian Government’s principal arts investment, development and advisory body and is accountable to the Australian Parliament and to the Government through the Minister for the Arts.

Corporate governance is the process by which Creative Australia is directed and controlled. It encompasses authority, accountability, stewardship, leadership and direction.

The Board and management of Creative Australia are responsible for ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are in place to direct and control the organisation. This includes the mechanisms by which we are held to account.

We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.

We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations Peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions.

We are privileged to gather on this Country and through this website to share knowledge, culture and art now, and with future generations.

First Nations Peoples should be aware that this website may contain images or names of people who have died.
