Frequently asked questions
If successful, what are my obligations?
If your organisation is awarded a training opportunity, it will need to submit a short grant report and complete a short survey once the activity has been completed. Feedback from the nominated participant will form part of this reporting process.
Does the opportunity stay with the nominated participant if they change organisations?
The opportunity is awarded to the applicant organisation, not the individual participant. If the nominated participant leaves the organisation before completing the training, contact Creative Australia to discuss whether another eligible staff member can be nominated.
Do you accept applications in languages other than English?
Yes, we do. More information is available on our website, Languages other than English.
Can I apply for access support?
Yes. We are committed to making this opportunity accessible and inclusive.
If you require access support to participate in the training opportunity, you can request additional funding to help meet your access needs. Up to $2,000 is available as a contribution towards access costs.
Please refer to the Access and Inclusion section above for more information. If you would like to discuss your access needs before applying, please contact the Capability Development team via capabilityprograms@creative.gov.au.
How can I get assistance with my application?

Our staff are available to assist you in understanding the purpose of the grant, application requirements and submitting your application. We cannot review application drafts.
Additional support can be discussed where needed. Where the additional support is beyond the scope of what staff can provide, we may recommend speaking to an appropriate organisation for further assistance.
Do I need an ABN to apply for this opportunity?
Applicant organisations must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN). The applicant organisation will enter into an agreement with Creative Australia and nominate one fundraising staff member to participate in the opportunity.
The name of the applicant must match the name of the ABN and the name of the bank account we pay the grant into. If you cannot provide an ABN and bank account that are in the same name as the applicant, you will need to nominate an administrator for your grant.
Are online courses scheduled to suit different Australian time zones?
FIA schedules its online courses with a national audience in mind. Course times are set by FIA and may vary depending on the time of year and whether daylight savings is in effect.
Applicants should review the published course times and ensure the nominated participant can attend before selecting a course data and time.
Successful applicants
Once all applications have been assessed, applicant organisations will be contacted about the outcome of their application. If successful, a funding agreement will be attached to the applicant organisation's online account.
