Assessment for the National Performing Arts Partnership Framework

Find out about how applications to the National Performing Arts Partnership Framework are assessed.

How are applications to the Partnership Framework reviewed?

The review process for National Performing Arts Partnership Framework applications comprises three components:

  1. Artistic review
  2. Financial and governance review
  3. Ecology and impact review

Artistic review

Industry advisors review the artistic merit of applications. They consider the appropriateness of the proposed artistic activity and strategic plan, and how it positions organisations to meet their purpose and artistic vision within their current context.

Financial and governance review

Industry advisor members of Creative Australia’s Multi-Year Funding Finance and Governance Advisory Panel review applications and deliberate on the capacity and governance capability of organisations to deliver on their strategic plan.

Ecology and impact review

Industry advisors join officials from Creative Australia and relevant state and territory jurisdictions to review applications from the perspective of their place in the broader arts ecology for a state or territory, nationally or internationally. This includes the role organisations play in delivering on Government Priorities and their national and/or state and territory impact.

Assessment process

Final recommendation on investment decisions are made by officials of Creative Australia and the relevant state or territory contributing funding partner. These decisions are based on the responses and advice provided by industry advisors in their reviews of the applications. Approval of the investment is made by the respective decision-making authority within each funding agency.
