Creative Australia has announced the recipients of the 2025 Asia Pacific Arts Awards, recognising and celebrating artists and organisations who have made significant contributions to cultural life across the region.

The recipients highlight the remarkable breadth of artistic practice and cultural exchange in the Asia-Pacific.

Among those honoured were recipients of the Legacy Award, Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan, whose large-scale installations explore themes of migration, displacement and home.

Recipients of the Award for Innovation were Bábbarra Women's Centre with Tharangini Studio, for an exhibition linking Arnhem Land and Bangalore.

Executive Director Arts Investment Alice Nash said:

“The recipients of these awards exemplify the depth and diversity of the arts in our region. They have created work that is deeply engaged and impactful, resonating within communities and across international borders.”

The Inspire Award for Organisations went to Wantok Musik Foundation, whose project Hamoris Lian Timor (Reviving the Sound of Timor) bridges communities in Timor Leste and Australia through music, dance and storytelling.

Taloi Havini received the Inspire Award for Individuals, Groups and Collectives, with work deeply rooted in her ties to Bougainville, employing various media to explore community engagement, cultural representation and place.

The Connect Award was given to PacifiqueX an organisation that brings together culture and advocacy supporting Māori, Torres Strait Islander, and Pacific Islander queer communities.

The Impact Award went to Liminal Magazine, a literary journal showcasing culturally diverse voices and new perspectives.
