Creative Australia has announced the latest recipients of investment through its national touring programs, Playing Australia and the Contemporary Music Touring Program

The investment of more than $2 million will support 31 projects, and bring live performances to audiences right across Australia, particularly in regional and remote communities.

This includes investment through the Contemporary Music Program, supporting 27 Australian musicians to take their original music across the country.

Four touring performing arts organisations will be supported through Playing Australia project investment.

Executive Director of Arts Investment Alice Nash said:

“This investment brings exceptional music and performing arts to local halls, outdoor stages and remote communities across the country. From classical music to contemporary dance, hip-hop and First Nations storytelling, these projects will bring live performances to audiences who may otherwise miss out, helping reduce barriers to access and strengthen connections between artists and communities.”

We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.

We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations Peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions.

We are privileged to gather on this Country and through this website to share knowledge, culture and art now, and with future generations.

First Nations Peoples should be aware that this website may contain images or names of people who have died.
