Creative Australia is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of James Darling AM.

A well-known artist, farmer, activist and philanthropist, James was a passionate advocate for Australian creativity.

An inspirational South Australian, James, in collaboration with Lesley Forwood, Jumpgate, composer Paul Stanhope, and the Australian String Quartet, presented Living Rocks: A Fragment of the Universe, 2019 as an official collateral event at the 58th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Venice, Italy, leaving an indelible mark.

James will be missed dearly. We extend our deepest sympathy to Lesley and family, friends and all that knew him.
