About
Queensland’s home for artists' development in contemporary and experimental practice for over 45 years, ensuring art starts conversations, dissolves barriers, challenges thinking and enriches lives. In the last 5 years, Metro Arts delivered 85 exhibitions, 93 performance seasons, 22 Artist residencies, 42 new performance developments; and 249 community events.
We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.
We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways, and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions. We are privileged to gather on this Country and to share knowledge, culture and art, now and with future generations.
