Studio1 is Queensland's only dedicated home for independent dance and body-based practice. Through The Workroom Program — Studio1's year-round platform for artist development, research and exchange — more than 30 South East Queensland artists annually are given the time, space and support to explore, develop and test new work, strengthening Brisbane's performance ecology and building sustainable, thriving careers for independent artists.
We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.
We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways, and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions.
