About
Griffith University Art Museum is committed to innovative research and experimentation to encourage appreciation and understanding of art and its societal role. The Museum organises exhibitions, educational and public programs to offer enjoyment and encourage inquiry, research and experimentation, while building and maintaining the University’s art collection for future generations. Situated in one of Australia’s oldest art schools, the Museum stimulates active learning about art and the creative process through research, teaching, publishing and dialogue among communities of Griffith University students, faculty, artists, scholars, alumni, and the wider public.
We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.
We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways, and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions. We are privileged to gather on this Country and to share knowledge, culture and art, now and with future generations.
