About
Lapunyah Art Gallery Inc is a volunteer only NFP organisation which manages the Lapunyah Art Gallery in the Chinchilla Cultural Precinct. We are supported by the Western Downs Regional Council through a yearly Service Agreement to run arts and culturally based events within the council owned Lapunyah Art Gallery space. Our activities include: showing exhibitions (local artists and groups, touring exhibitions, gallery theme exhibitions, arts and crafts competitions), holding workshops for all age groups and abilities, mentoring artists, selling local art merchandise and supporting other arts and crafts organisations in our community.
We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.
We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways, and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions. We are privileged to gather on this Country and to share knowledge, culture and art, now and with future generations.
