The Creative Industries Impact Lab is designed specifically for organisations that are at the start of their impact journey.

This program differs from the more comprehensive Impact Investment Readiness Program in that it is specific to impact articulation and measurement only.

This program is applicable for organisations with future interest in impact investing as a funding stream – but is also of itself a valuable suite of knowledge for seeking both government and philanthropic investment.

Format of the program

This intensive three-day course will provide organisations with the first steps on the way to impact measurement, providing a toolkit and methodology to determine how to identify and measure impact.

Delivered in partnership with Grey Area Partners, the Impact Lab will include an introduction to Theory of Change and provide participants with a suite of resources and case studies that will enable them to start their own Theory of Change process and assist in articulating and measuring impact.

After attending the Creative Industries Impact Lab, participating organisations will be equipped with the following:

  • The frameworks and knowledge to produce a Theory of Change for their organisation.
  • The ability to articulate the impact their organisation makes.
  • A tool to measure that impact and report on it for potential stakeholders.
  • An understanding of what potential philanthropic and investment supporters will be looking for when assessing suitability for funding based on impact.

Outcomes

It is the intention that participants in the Creative Industries Impact Lab may, as a next step in their impact investment journey, participate in a future iteration of the Impact Investment Readiness Program. This creates a pipeline of organisations that begin with impact measurement, then leverage this knowledge into building further skills to become impact investment ready.
