The 10th annual Marketing Summit of the Australia Council took place over two days in two incredible Hobart venues – the Baha’i Centre of Learning and MONA – where the Summit had exclusive access.
In the tradition of the Australia Council Marketing Summit the two days provided arts marketers the opportunity to connect with colleagues and leaders in the sector.
Speakers
Keynote speakers at the Summit included Kieran Flanagan, CCO of The Impossible Institute, and Jo Verrent, a Senior Producer at UNLIMITED. Kieran explored the trends and connections that drive the changes in our community, values, technology and our marketplace. While Jo focused on diversity and the importance of marketers responding to their audiences. Arts Access Australia CEO Emma Bennison joined Jo to continue the conversation about diversity and to highlight some of the great work being done in the arts in Australia.
The Summit also welcomed Tea Uglow, Creative Director of Google, who explored the connections between arts audiences and technology, looking at what the future may hold.
Lively panel discussions with Scott Ward, CEO of Digital Infusions, Jane Huxley of Pandora and Gary Peace, Head of Planning at ZenithOptimedia showcased the digital platform and its many possibilities for connecting to audiences – brought to life by case studies of strategic content and creative innovation in the digital space.
