Peers may review up to:

  • 10 images
  • 10 pages of written material (for example, excerpts of literary writing)
  • 10 minutes of video and/or audio recording
  • 5 letters of support (with each letter not exceeding one A4 page)
  • 2 pages containing artist biographies or CVs

You can directly upload files to your application form in the following formats:

  • Video (MP4, QuickTime, and Windows Media)
  • Audio (MP3 and Windows Media)
  • Images (JPEG and PowerPoint)
  • Written material (Word and PDF). Where possible, please combine all documents into one PDF.

Our preferred method of receiving support material is via URLs (web links).

  • A URL (website link) which directly links to where an example of your work may be read, viewed or heard is the preferred method for supplying support material. A URL is simple for applicants and peers to use.
  • Providing a URL to your work allows you to present your work so that it can be easily accessed and played on a variety of operating systems (e.g., Mac, Windows, Linux) and devices (e.g., laptop, desktop, tablet, mobile).
  • Providing a URL to your work allows you to present your supporting material in high definition, without having an impact on your total application file limit of 20MB.
  • Uploading large video and audio files with your application can be slow.

You may submit up to three URLs, which can include video, audio, images, and written material. You can link to a specific page on your artist or organisation website displaying examples of your work. If you don’t have a website, there are a number of free and easy to use online hosting services. Below is a list of some third party hosting sites:

We do not accept application-related support material submitted via post. Application-related material received by post will not be assessed and will be returned to the sender. If you think you will have difficulty submitting your support material online, please contact the grants team.

  • You should provide recent examples that best demonstrate the quality of your past or present work, and is relevant to the proposal.
  • The URL needs to be a direct link to your written material, images, video or audio. The link should not require further navigation, or for a file to be downloaded.
  • If the URL requires a password to access, please ensure you include the password in the space provided in the online application form.
  • Be sure to check regularly that the URLs you provided are working through the course of the 12-week assessment period, as we take no responsibility for links that do not work.
  • Do not use an online hosting platform that requires the person viewing the files to have membership of that site or enter personal identification in order to access them.
  • Avoid using “special” non-alphanumeric characters such as %&*?/\ < > when naming PDF or word documents uploaded as support material. These characters can corrupt the documents, making them inaccessible to the assessor.

We cannot amend, correct, update or change any part of your application once it has been submitted. However, you can notify us of confirmations that you receive after you have submitted your application. These may include confirmation that a proposed activity will take place, a partnership has been secured, or funding from another source has been received.

To notify us of these confirmations please send an email to enquiries@creative.gov.au briefly describing the nature of the confirmation and include your application reference number

You do not need to send us copies of confirmation emails from third parties – if we need to see evidence of the confirmation we’ll request it.

Please note: Any confirmations provided after the closing date are not distributed to peer assessors with your application. We make a note of these on file and bring them to the attention of peer assessors  during the assessment meeting at our discretion.

Any other changes or corrections to your application or support material after its submission are not permitted.
